Yazoo Park in Virar
Although there is common perception that Yazoo Park is the biggest amusement park in Mumbai, in reality it is situated in Virar, a suburban town located to the north of Mumbai. The park, promoted by Mumbai’s two most respected real estate developers, Evershine and Rustomjee, is spread over 12 acres of prime land and houses different types of rides along with road trains, kids’ zone, toddlers’ zone, food court, mini amphitheater , banquet halls etc.

Rides at Yazoo ParkAs we have already mentioned, there are different types of rides that one can enjoy at the Yazoo Park. You can for instance start with Vertical Swing Chairs. It is one of the new rides in the park and cannot be missed at any cost. Just as the chair spins round and round you see the world rotate right in front of your eyes.
You should also try the Yazoo Ranger Ride. It takes you to a height of 60 ft and enables you to see the whole park at one go. If you want to go even higher up you should try Free Fall. The ride takes you to an incredible height of 90 feet in just few seconds and then takes you down in half the time. Then again, if you have ever wanted to feel weightlessness, you must try Disco Coaster. The feeling is truly incredible. There are also the Ferris Wheel, Flying Carousel, Water Roller and so many other exciting rides to try. The park also offers scope for rock climbing and rappelling.

How to Reach Yazoo ParkIf you are traveling from Mumbai, the best way to visit Yazoo Park is to travel by train. It is to be remembered that Virar Railway Station is located on western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. It takes around one and half hours to reach Virar from Churchgate Railway Station.
To reach Yazoo Park from Virar Station one has to take a rickshaw. It generally takes around 10 minutes of rickshaw ride and costs around rupees fifty.
However, if you want to use your own vehicle, you may also do that. Yazoo Park has 700 sq ft of parking area located just in front of its entrance and so parking is the least of your problems. The contact details of the park are as follows:

Timing at Yazoo Park
The park is open from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, but the rides ends at 8:45 PM. Both the entrance and exit are large. Therefore, in case of any emergency, the visitors can be evacuated easily. Moreover, the park has large number of security personnel guarding every corner of the park. Security cameras installed all over makes the experience even safer.
